• Starting from the left, if we do hit and trail method then C=8 which gives 16 as result, so O=1 and A=6. Then we go to the right most to check the the value of A. A+A(6+6=12), so S=2 and carry is 1. Now C+T(1+8+0=9), so T=0 & I=9 with carry 0. And O+O(1+1=2), so O=1 and S=2 which satisfies the above values.
