  = 3 + 2 * sqrt(2)
  Y^2 = ( 1 - sqrt(2) )^2
  = 1 + 2 - 2 * 1 * sqrt(2) ( ( a-b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2 * a * b )
  = 3 - 2 * sqrt(2)
  
  X^2 + Y^2 = 3 + 2 * sqrt(2) + 3 - 2 * sqrt(2)
