A cylinder of diameter 14 and height 21 is converted into a cone of radius 10. Now, what could be the percentage height of the new shape ?
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- πr2h=πr2h/3
7*7*21=10*10*h/3
h= 30.87
%Height= (30.87*100)/21= 147% - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- volume of cylinder is pir*radius*radius*height
so, it will give the 1029pie cubic unit.
then, volume of cone is 1/3 pie*r*r*h.
so height=(3*1029 *pie)/pie*10*10
answer is 30.87 unit

- Let no, of spheres be N
by given,volume of the cylinder=NxVolume of spere
radius of cylindr=14cm
height of cylinder=21cm
volume=πr²h =22/7 x 21 x 14 x 14
=12936 cm³
radius of sphere=3.5cm
volume=4/3πr³ =4/3 x 22/7 x 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5
=179.66cm³
N=12936/179.66
=72 ans. - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
