The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 8. When 18 is added to the number, the digits are reversed. Find the number?

• let two numbers x and y
  x+y=8
  10x+y+18=10y+x
  9x-9y=-18
  x-y=-2
  x=3
  y=5

  (10X+Y)+18=10y+x -(2)
  After Solving both the equations we get,
  X=-1/2 and Y=17/2
  So the two digit number is -17/34.

  8+18=26
  so ans is 62.

  use trial and error method.. For a two digit sum it should be 8. Then possibilities are 7+1 , 6+2 , 5+3, 4 +4 , 3 + 5 , 2+ 6 .
  
  Then add 18 to those 2 digits.. such that 35+18 = 53...
