  After giving 25% discount it becomes 0.75x

  25% is 15...so 60+15=75..
  when we sold it for 10% discunt we got 90rs..30rs profit...30rs are 50% of 60rs...so we got 50% profit..

  and as they still got 25% profit so cost price is: x+x*25/100=75
  so x=60,which is cost price

  we know sp=mp(1-d%)
  therfore mp=sp/1-d%)
  =(125*100)/75=500/3
  
  NOW, DISOUNT PERCENTAGE IS 10% so.........
  sp=500/3(1-10%)=150
  therefore the answer should be 50%

• at first i want to say it is a dummy question
  sol: let the selling price is 100 rupee
  on giving 25 % discount the price will be 75,on selling the object in 75 rupee profit = 25 % so original cost will be 75*100/125 = 60
  now on giving 10 % discount selling cost will be 90 it means 30 rupee gain on an investment of 60 rupee so profit on investment = 30*100/60 = 50 % (correct answer)

• Let RS 100 be the SP. 25 % discount means marked price is .75x/100=100...===x=100*100/75= RS 133.33....profit is 25 percent=== 125x/100=100===x=80................i.e cost price is Rs 80. Now for 10 percent discount....Sp becomes 133.33-0.10*133.33= Rs 120...hence profit is 120/80*100=50%

  a^3(x)+aab+ab+b=8x+21
  Comparing similar terms we get:
  a^3(x)=8x
  Therefore, a=2;
  putting the value of a in aab+ab+b=21
