  so 26 is the answer

• taking pair of two no. (4,3),(5,9),(12,17)
  for getting starting no. of the next pair ,add the two no. of the previous pair and subtract 2 from it , for example
  (4+3)-2=5 starting no. of the next pair
  similarly
  (5+9)-2=12;
  (12+17)-2=27
