A shop sells chocolates at re.1 each. U can exchange 3 wrappers for 1 chocolate. If u have Rs.100, how many chocolates can you totally get?

• 100 chocolates---- 99+1 wrappers
  exchanging 99 wrappers;we are left with
  33 chocolates+1 wrapper----- 33+1 wrapper
  exchanging 33 wrappers,we are left with
  11 chocolates +1 wrapper------12 wrappers
  exchanging 12 wrappers,we are left with
  4 chocolates------3+1 wrappers
  exchanging 3 wrappers,we get
  1 chocolate
  at last we are left wid two wrappers that cannot be exchanged
  therfore: no.of chocolates= 100+33+11+4+1=149

• Total no of chocolates= 100 ( 1 wrapper is left)+(99/3)+(33/3)+(12/3)( 1 old wrapper is used)+1( one wrapper is left) + 1 ( got by using 1 old wrapper , one latest wrapper and one returned again by taking last choclate)=150

  now for 100 wrapper we can get 33
  for 33 wrapper=11
  for 11 wrapper=3
  so total=100+33+11+3=147
