. In a class of 39 students the ratio of boys and girls is 2 : 1. Radhika ranks 15th among all the students from top and 8th among girls from bottom. How many boys are there below Radhika?

- total student= 39, boys : girls = 2:1, hence no of boys= 2/3(39)= 26
num of girls= 1/3(39) = 13 , since radhika ranked 15 among 39 student from top
and ranked 8 among girls from bottom , this means 7 girls are below radhika, rest 13-9= 5 girls are above her, now from 14 toper 5 are girls hence 14-5=9 boys.

so boys=26 , girls=13
now radhika ranked 8th among girls from bottom. so there are 7 girls below radhika....at the same time she is 15th ranked student from top...so we know there are only 13 girls and 7 of them are bellow radhika. so 13-(7+1)=5 girls are above radhika..and from top radhika is 15th..so assuming 5 girls on top of radhika there are 14-5=9 boys...
total boys in the class=26

no of girls = 1/3 x 39 = 13
position of radhika is 15th from top ,
therefore 14 students are ahead of her which can be boys and girls.

total no of girls - radhika + girls below her
13-1+7=5
therfore no of boys a head of radhika = 14-5 .....{postion of radhika is 15th from top}

total below her 26-9 =17

she is 15th from top, out of which there are 4girls above her.
that means she has 10boys above her.

so we have to find how many boys and girls are above from radhika .

i.e 6th from top 5 girls are above from radikha
then no. of boys up from radhika=14-5=9
