A shopkeeper bought 800 kg rice at Rs.3840. He had to sell it at a loss of as much as he received for 6 kg. The selling price (per kg, in Rs.) will be:

Let selling price of 80 kg = x
Loss = selling price of 6 kg = 6x/80 = 3x/40

loss = CP - SP
=> 3x/40 = 3840 - x
=> x = 3572.093 Rs
=> SP per kg = 44.65 Rs

price of 6 kg rice is=(3840/80)*6
=28.8
C.P=Rs. 3840
He had to loss as the amount he received Rs. 28.8 for 6 kg rice.
So S.P will be=(3840-28.8)=Rs. 3811.2

loss = 16x
loss= cp - sp
16x= 3840 - 80x
x = 40
