- let initially it contains x litres of liquid...den volume of A type and B type are 5x/7 and 2x/7 respectively now when 9 litres are drawn off amount of A type removed = 5*9/7 and amount of B type removed = 2*9/7 and den 9 litres of B type is added....so resulting amount of A=5x/7-45/7 and resulting amount of B type=2x/7-(18/7)+9...so (5x/7-45/7)/(2x/7-(18/7)+9)=7/9 =>x= 720/31 litres

- clearly M=40 & W=20 (since mixture is 2:1 from 60lit mixture)
according to condition
M=40 & W=20+60=80
now M:W=40:80=1:2 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
