If a person starts contributing certain amount(rs.) daily and adds Rs 2 more to its previous day's contribution. After 25 days, his total contribution is Rs. 675,With what amount he started on day one ?

  675= (25/2)*(2a +(25-1)*2)= (25/2)*(2a +48)

  Total contri will be
  x+(x+2)+(x+4)+.....upto 25days
  =25x+(2+4+....24terms)
  =25x+Sum of 24 terms in an AP where a=2 and n=24 and d=2
  =25x+(n/2)(2a +(n-1)d)
  =25x+(24/2)(2*2 + (24-1)*2)
  =25x+600
  and dis is given as Rs 675
  Therefore,
  25x+600=675
  which results in x=3.
  Therefore, The person started with Rs 3 on day one
