the C.I on a sum of money for 2 years is RS.832.and the simple interest on tha same sum for the same period is RS. 800.the difference between the C.I and the S.I for 3 years will be?

- let x be the principal and y be the interest rate. given two years S I is 800
ie 2xy/100 = 800
xy = 40000
also given C I is 832
ie x + xy/100 +( x+xy/100)y/100 - x =832
substuting xy =40000 and simplifying
400 + 400 +4y =832
y= 8 and x=5000
so calculating C I for 3 years is 1298.56 and obviusly S I is 400*3 =1200
so difference is 98.56
