A number consists of two digits whose sum is 9. If 27 is added to the number, its digits are reversed. Find the number?

  If number=10x+y, given x+y=9 ---(ii) and
  10x+y+27=10y+x
  9x+27=9y or x+3=y ---(ii)

  only in case of 36 , second condition (If 27 is added to the number, its digits are reversed.) is satisfied.

  by adding 27 to these we get: 117,45,54,63,72
  hence req ans will be: 36 which on addition gives 63
