- sorry. i got it wrong the first time.
.)what we can do is first fill the 13 litre bucket from the 24 litre bucket. 2.)now empty the 13 litre bucket into the 5 litre bucket once.
.)now the 13 litre bucket has 13-5 = 8 litre and the 5 litre bucket has 5 litre.
.)now empty the 5 litre bucket into the 24 litre bucket and empty the 13 litre bucket into the 11 litre bucket.
.)so the 11 litre bucket now has 8 litre and the 13 and 5 litre buckets are completely empty.
.)now again fill the 13 litre bucket from the 24 litre bucket.
.) then empty the 13 litre bucket into the 5 litre bucket.
.)so now the 13 litre bucket also has 8 litre.
.) now empty the 5 litre bucket in the 24 litre bucket which now also has 8 litre.
.) so the three men have lemonade equal to 8 litres in the 24,13 and 11 litre bucket.there are other possible ways. this is one . - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- i have some doubts regarding the question . do each of the 3 men have access to the three buckets individually or they have access to just one bucket. assuming that each one has access to three buckets then first the 13 litre bucket is fully filled and then it is emptied in the 5 litre bucket . so now the 13 litre bucket has (13-5)=8 litre. similarly all the three men can follow this method and can equally share the lemonade.
