Assume that objects of same type =0 and objects of different type as 1 or u can take it in either way. three different types of object which equals 2^3=8
there are totally 8 combinations like 000,001,010 and so on upto 111. Getting same type of object which implies either getting 000 or 111. therefore (2^3)-1 =7
