For asynchronous transmission, is it
necessary to supply some synchronizing pulses
additionally or to supply or to supply start and stop
bit?

- for asynchronous transmission start and stop bits are required because as asynchronous itself means that things are not going with respect to clock and the receiver. that is the operating clock frequencies of transmitter and receiver are different so to make the receiver to recognize whats happening start and stop bits required.

- asynchronous transmission does not required any
syncronizing pulses , instead it needs start and stop bit
to acknowledge the first and last bit of the data which is
transmitted.these bits can be high or low.
In some advanced controllers which has in built UART ,
provide option to select no. of start and stop bits in the
transmission. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- not sure but i think that it is not always necessary.
if the data is of variable length then start and stop bits are required else they are not - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- i think itis not necessary.....
