a lady has 25 paise coins and 50 paise coins in her bag.she has a total of 120 coins amounting to 50.what is the respective number of 25 paise and 50 paise coins?

Let number of 25 paise coins be 'x' and number of 50 paise coins be 'y'.
So, two equations will form.
25x + 50y = 5000 (As we're dealing with paises. Or you can convert into rupees as well by taking 0.25 Re and 0.50 Re)
x + y = 120.

Two equations and two variables. Solve it by any method.
And you'll get x = 40 and y = 80.

Check: 25x = 25(40) = 1000 paise = 10 Rs.
50y = 50(80) = 4000 paise = 40 Rs.
