how many lines form with 8 concurent points?

• i think answer is 28.from 1st line there are 7 line form and then from 2nd there are 6 lines form and so on....so total is 7+6+5+4+3+2+1=28

  (n*(n-1))/2
  
  i.e. (8*(8-1))/2
  =56/2
  =28

• i think answer is 25. each point has its own vertical line and all the points can be joined by a single horizontal line crossing each point's vertical lines as well.and each point can have two lines crossed finally forming a shape of star at each point
