  so Area of Square = a^2
  Diameter of inscribed circle = side of square = a
  Radius of circle = a/2
  Area of circle = (22/7)(a/2)^2
  Ratio of area of circle to square = {(22/7)(a/2)^2}/a^2 = 11/14

• the area of square is 6*6=36cm^2
  the radius of circle is 3 cm
  so, the area of circle is (3.14*3*3)=28.26
  the ratio is 36:28.26=9:7

  area of the square = 36
