How many 3 digit numbers are there which are not squares and cubes???
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- The total 3 digit no=999-99=900
the no which are squares from 100 to 999 is
10^2 , 11^2,12^2 .............31^2
so total 3 digit no which are squares is 22
and total no of 3-digit cubes from 100 to 999 is
5^3, 6^3, 7^3....9^3
so total no of 3-digit no which are cubes is 5
therefore total 3-digit no which are not square and cubes are
900-(22+5)=873 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- total no. of three digit no.'s=900
in which, squares are-10^2=100,11^2=121,12^2=144,.....31^2=961 which means 22 no.s are squares.
and no's which are pure cube are-5^3=125,6^3=216,7^3=343,8^3=512,9^3=729 which means 5 np's are cubes.
so answer=900-22-5=973 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(4)
- total 3 digit nos=999-100+1=900
squares of nos which are of 3digits=10,11...31
cubes of nos which are 3digits=6,7,8,9
rest=900-27=573 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
