  now see E*E is giving E hence it can be1, 5 or 6 but if it was 6 then we wud have got SNTN in the first line instead of SNTI 1 is obv not there so we have E=5 then see anything multiplied wd 5 gives 0 or 5 at units place hence is N*T is not having E(i.e 5 ) then it must be 0 hence first mul of N*E is 0 hence I=0,
  Now see in second line PIAE is there thus PI means it has number P0 hence no carry is obtained from previous mul now E*H can be either 0 or 1(to avoid carry) now see in second column from right at the bottom T+E=H now E=5 and H can be only 0 or 1 hence H can get 0 when 5 is added to 5 but in CRIPTARTMATIC it is not allowed to have two diffrent values hence we have H=1 now see E*E is 25 hence we have carry 2 over H and H is 1 thus we have carry of 2 we get 5+2=7 thus we get A=7 So we have A=7,E=5,H=1,T=6(T+E=H,T+5=11,T=6) Now 3rd colun add gives N+A+E=A now N+5+7=7 (at unit place) hence N=4(bcz we obtained 11 in prev column T+5=11 hence 1 carry)noe similarly carry out other colums and u ll get the answer AMIT has got

• easiest method to this is..checking from the options..trail and error method...by verifying all the 4 options u can find the sollution..
