- Ans. - 0.8km
solution - Lets distance = x km
Accutual Time = y h
according to first condition
d=s*t
x=3*(y+2/60)
x=3y+1/10
x-3y=1/10 -------(1)
according to second condition
d=s*t
x=4*(y-2/60)
x=4y-2/15
x-4y=-2/15 -------(2)
eq. first + eq. second
x-3y =1/10
x-4y=-2/15
- + +
-----------------
y=1/10+2/15
y=7/30
put the value of y in first eq.
x-3*7/30=1/10
x=1/10+7/10
x=0.8
so, distance = 0.8 km - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- 0.8km
distance=speed*time
so,d=3*(t+2/60)
again d=4*(t-2/60)
solving,t=14/60
d=48/60=0.8km - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- Let the distance is x,& actual time is y..
when he reach at 3kmph, time is taken (y+2)
so,x/3=(y+2)........
when he reach at 4kmph, time is taken (y-2)
so,x/4=(y-2)........
By solving two equs, we get x=48 & y=14.
so, distance = 48 km
