Total amount of some cats and the cheans is 360 in a shop. But at night the shop keeper forget to close the door. The next day he found the 2 cats and ½ kg cheane is lost and the present cost is 340 and asked to fine the no of cats and the total cheane.

let n cat and m kg cheans are there, so we can form 2 equations like this-
ncat+mchean=360---(1)
now according to the given condition we can also form an equation like-
(n-2)cat +(m-1/2)chean=340---(2)
solving this two equation we get
2cat+(1/2)chean=20
now multipling both side with 18 we get-
18*(2cat+(1/2)chean)=20*18
36cat +9 chean=360
hence,there were 36 cats and 9 kg cheans... :)

TO MAKE IT 360 ON LHS WE WILL MULTIPLY BY 18 ON BOTH SIDES
