A works thrice as much as B. If A takes 60 days less than B to do a work then find the number of days it would take to complete the work if both work together?

• if A finishes the job in x days
  B finishes it in 3x days
  
  3x = x + 60
  thus
  x = 30
  
  in one hour
  1/t = 1/30 + 1/90 = 4/90
  where t is the number of days they finish the job together.

  Hence as A takes 60 days less than B to do a work,
  Total units of work = 90units ( A takes 30days, B takes 90days)
  => If A and B work together, it will take 90/(3+1) days
  => 22.5 days

  so 3x-x=60
  
  and x = 30
  
  so 1/90+1/30=221/2 days ans

  Let A completed work in x days.
  Then B will complete the wor in x+60 days.
  => x=30 days
  1 day work of both A&b together is 1/30+1/60 =2/45.
