A hollow cube of size 5cm is taken, with the thickness of 1cm. It is made of smaller cubes of size 1cm .If the outer surface of the cube is painted how many faces of the smaller cubes remain unpainted?

  the hollow cube size 5 cm.thickness 1c.m. so the total no. of unit cubes neede to build one face is 16 cubes..so total no. of cubes (5*16+9*2)=98
  the total no. of faces unpainted(98*6 - 25*6)=438
