when given at a
rate of 850 grams per head. At the end of 7 days a
reinforcement
arrives and it was found that now the provisions will
last 8 days
less, when given at the rate of 825 grams per head.
How, many more men
can it feed?
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- Initial stock = 3300*32*850
stock consumed in 7 days = 3300*7*850
stock remains = 3300*25*850
a/q
3300*25*850 = (3300+reinforcement) *825*(32-7-8)
gives reinforcement = 1700 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(0)
- total stock=3300*32*850
stock consumed=3300*7*850
remaining stock=(total stock)-(stock consumed)
x=no of reinforcement
stock does not available for last 8 days, 825g per head
ie.., remaining stock=(3300+x)*825*25 25 means(32days-7days-8days).
X=1700 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- 3300*25*850=(3300+X)*8*825
ans x(reinforcement)=5200 - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(3)
