- Let the ages of grandmother, her daughter and the grandchild be x, y and z respectively in years.
z in days = y in weeks
z * 365 = y * 52 ... (i)
Similarly, z in days = x in years
z*365 = x ... (ii)
Also, x + y + z = 130 ... (iii)
Substituting the values of x, y and z in equation (iii) we get,
365*z + (365/52)*z + z = 130
Solving this we get z = 0.3485 in years = 127 days
So the child is 127 days old. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(21) No(1)
- Consider all the ages in days
so Grand Daughter age will be simply x
Daughter age is in week , so x*7 days
her age is in year so x*365
The total is 130
hence x+x*7+x*365=130*365 ( 365 is multiplied because 130 is in yrs )
By solving you will get x=127 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- Grandmother's age= x;
Mother's age =y;
X/365 = y/(12*7)=grandchild's age(in year);
(x/365)+(((12*7)/365)x)+x=130;
Solving, x=105.44 year, therefore grandchild's age is 0.28 year, i.e 3.46 months - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
