- Burn first candle from one side and second candle from both ends simultaneously. Second candle takes 30 min to burn completely. Once second candle burnt completely, Burn the first candle, which is half burnt already, from both ends. It takes 15 min. Hence 45 minutes is measured.

- Light first candle from both ends and second form one end. the first candle burns for exactly 30 minutes. Now, the second candle is half-finished, and wax remains for another 30 minutes. At that instant, light the other end also. The remaining wax burns up in 15 minutes. Total = 45 minutes.

- keep the candles light the first candle at one end where as light the second candle at both ends when the second candle stops burning then the 1/2 hr gets completed so now light the first candle on the another end when the first candle also gets completed then is 45 min

- Assume Two Candles as A & B =>Burn both ends of candle 'A' and burn one end in candle 'B'.so within 30 minutes A candle will burn completely(if you burn one side in candle,it will take one hour but if you burn both ends at the same time,it takes only 30 minutes to burn completely) and candle 'B' would have been finished 50% in its length.after 30 minutes Burn another side in Candle 'B' .YOU CAN MEASURE 45 MINUTES EXACTLY.

- first cut the candle in same half sizes...(now both burn 30 mins each)
and the half size is cut once to make it as two equal sizes..(now these both burn 15 mins each)
now burn the first half candle which burns 30mins and burn other which burns 15 mins so totally 45 mins - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(8)
- Since each candle burn 1 hour, first, light up the two ends of the 1st candle and light up the one end of the 2nd candle. After the completion of 1st candle, the time will be 30 minutes. Then, light up the both ends of the 2nd candle.it will finish in 15 minutes .i.e (30+15=45)
