How will you recognize the magnet & magnetic material & non-magnetic material?

• Mark materials as A,B and C.
  
  Take A near B and C one by one.
  If It attracts B , then one of A/B is magnet and other is magnetic material. and C is non magnetic material.
  If It attracts C , then one of A/B is magnet and other is magnetic material.B is non magnetic material.
  If it does not attract anyone, A is non magnetic material. and then one of C/B is magnet and other is magnetic material.
  
  Now we are left with 2 items now say X and Y , magnet and magnetic material.
  
  Bring one end of one material X near the centre of other material , Y. If it attracts centre portion, then X is magnet a
