The volume of a rectangular solid is to be increased by 50% without altering itsbase. To what extent the height of the solid must be changed

  If L=Length, B=Breadth & H=height,so origional Volume V1= L*B*H1
  Assuming L & B remaining same
  New Volume after 50% increase=L*B*H2=(L*B*H1)150/100
  H2=1.5H1, So increase in height=50%

  => h=3h/2=1.5h
