• (ram+shyam)'s 2 days work = (1/8+1/12) = 5/24
  work done in 4 pair of days = (5/24)*4 = 5/6; remaining work = 1-(5/6) = 1/6
  work done by ram on 9th day = 1/8; Remaining work = (1/6)-(1/8)= 1/24
  On 10th day it is shyam's turn
  1/12 work is done by shyam in 1 day
  1/24 work is done by shyam in 12*(1/24) = 1/2
  total time = (9 + 1/2) day

• b well take LCM(8,12)=24;so RAM DO 3 parts per day i.e,24/8=3;
  similarly SHYAM do it 2 parts per day;they do alternately one after other means
  1st day ram-3
  2nd day shyam-2
  simrly this will repeat for 4times means 8 days.20 parts completed,again 9 th day ram 3 part 10 th day 1/2 part by syam total=9 1/2 days

  combining ram n shyam, they do 5/24 in 2days working alternately thus in 4such couples,ie in 8days 5/6 will be over...then ram willdo 1/8 n as a result 1/24 will be left which will be done in hlf day by shyam
