- 1/4th of the tank takes:15 hours
so full tank(i.e 1)takes:?
t=15/(1/4)=15*4=60 hours - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(9) No(11)
- in tank b, 1 hr=10 ltr. so, 15 hr = 150 ltr .
1/4 of the tank = 150 ltr
1 tank = 600 ltr
so,
600 ltr = 60 hr . in tank b it fill the tank in 60 hour - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(1)
- B fills as 10,20,30.... so it increases as +10 liters every hour.
therefore assume B=x+10 for every hour,
at 15th hour it is (x+10)/4 (given in the question)
at 16th hour it is 2(x+10)/4 ==> (x+10)/2 ==> half of the tank is filled
at 17th hour it is 3(x+10)/4 ==> 3/4th of the tank is filled
at 18th hour it is 4(x+10)/4 ==> x+10 ==> therefore at the 18th hour the tank is completly filled.
or the question may also be solved as
for 15th hour it is x/4,
for 16th hour it is 2x/4 ==> x/2
for 17th hour 3x/4
and for 18th hour it is 4x/4 ==> x, hence the tank is filled

- the rates are given as 10,20,30 ie linearly not like 10,20,40,80,160.....there are pretty much difference between those two questions.it will be simple 1/4 takes 15 hr.then 1 part will take 15*4=60 hours

- B fills 10lt/hr so in 15 hrs it'll fill 150 lt...
if 150lt is 1/4th then full tank =150*4=600lt
hence to fill 600lt ie, full tank= 600/10= 60hrs - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(6)
- 1/4th first we have to find 4=2^2 so t6he power of 2 is 2 now add it with 15hour
so 15+2=17 hour :) - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(4)
- 17hours..
as x/4 in 15 hrs den
2*(x/4) in 16hrs and
2*(x/2) in 17hrs - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- At 16th hour- 1/2 of the tank fills
17 """ 1 i.e.full - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- answer:18 hours
suppose the tank b capacity is 100 litres
(1/4)*100=15 hours
=25 litres filled in 15 hours
50 litres filled in 16 hours (given in statement)
75 litres fill in 17 hours (given)
100 litres fill in 18 hours (given)
