- ANS: 28 cm (16 cm + 12 cm)
hy ^ 2 = side1 ^ 2 + side2 ^ 2
1st triangle make as: (20 ^ 2) =(16 ^ 2) + (lenght 1 ^ 2)
so, by solving length 1 = 12 cm
2nd triangle make as: (20 ^ 2) =(12 ^ 2) + (lenght 2 ^ 2)
so, by solving length 2 = 16 cm
length 1 + length 2 = 12 + 16 cm = 28 cm

- By using Pythagoras theorem,
Distance between centre and 32cm chord=12cm
distance between centre and 24cm chord=16cm
so, total distance=4cm or 28cm - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)
- ans= sqrt(400-256)+sqrt(400-24)=28cm

- Ans will be 28 cms. 20^2=16^2+x^2 => x=12
Similarly, 20^2=12^2+y^2 => y=16.
Therefore distance = 12+16=28 cms. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- distance btween two chords if they are on same side=16-12=4cm.

- if 2 chords are in same side distance should ve 4cm
and if they are in opp dire it may be 28 cms - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- 4 cms
The distance between the chords had been asked
so, 16-12=4cms
