There are 2 streets from east delhi city to center of delhi, and 5 streets from center of delhi to west delhi. How many round trip itineraries can one make from east delhi to west delhi via center of delhi ?

• 2 ways to go from east to delhi, then
  5 to go from delhi to west
  again 5 ways to come back from west to center
  and in last 2 ways from centre to west
  2*5*5*2=100 is the answer.. :)

• 10 trip because there are only 2 street from east delhi to center of delhi so only 1 way from east delhi to center of delhi to make a trip, now as there are 5 streets from west delhi to center of delhi nd 2 street make a cicle so we can select in 5c2 ways i.e in 10 ways so answer is 10 .option e

  So,from E to C - 2 streets,select any one way in(2C1)WAYS
  from C to W, 5C1 ways,
  in the return journey,*2
  so (2c1+5c1)2 .SO I think answer is 40.

  let me explain..
  1)east delhi to center of delhi=2 ways
  2)center of delhi to west delhi=5 ways
  3)west delhi to center of delhi=4 ways
  4)center of delhi to east delhi=1 way
  so total no of ways=2*5*4*1=40 ways
