(2) 10% profit

(4) 4% loss
(5) None of these
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- ans: 4% loss
since the number of chocolates are same let us assume there are 24 chocolates
(bcoz lcm of 4 and 6 is 24)
so 24 choclates as 4 per rupee is 6 rupees
so 24 choclates as 6 per rupee is 4 rupees
total 10 rupees
now he mixed them
that is 48 chocolates as 5 per rupees is 9.6 rupees
so loss =(10-9.6)/10
=0.04
percentage is 4 percent - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- let,total no. of toffes be x
then,
total c.p = (x/2)*1/4 + (x/2)*1/6 --> 5x/24
total s.p = (x)*1/5 --> x/5
therfore loss = total c.p - total s.p= 5x/24 - x/5 = x/120
loss% = {(x/120)/(5x/24)}*100 = 4% - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
