The question says divides successively...I am doing a hit and trial thing, I am not too sure
When 55 is divided by 5, it leaves 0 remainder
We are left with 11 quotient, which when divided by 2 leaves 1 remainder
When the left quotient 5 is divided by 3, we get 2 as remainder
Now when we divide the same number but in a different order :
When 55 is divided by 2, it leaves 1 remainder
We are left with 27 as quotient, which when divided by 3 leaves 0 remainder
When the left out quotient 9 is divided by 3, we get 4 as remainder
So I think the answer should be 1,0,4 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(45) No(4)
- firstly do 5-0=5,2-1=1 and 3-2=1
now L.C.M of 5,1,1=5 so the no will be 5
now divide 5 by 2,3,5
remainder = 1,2,0 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(13) No(6)
- let the no b x
5| x
2|y-0
3|z-1
1
z=3*1+2 =5
y=2*z+1 = 11
x=5*y+0 = 55
55/2=27 55%2=1
27/3 = 9 27%3=0
9%5=4
so the answer is 1,0,4. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(1)
- suppose there is a number 35,
when we divide 35 by 5,2 and 3 we get remainders 0,1 and 2 respectively
when we divide the same number 35 by 2,3 and 5 we will get 1,2 and 0 as remainders respectively.. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(12)
- number is 25...
when u successively divide it by 5,2,3 gives 0,1,2
and when devides by 2,3,5 it gives 1,0,4.. - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(3)
- ans is- 1,1 and 0
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(2)
- let, the no = a
( a - 0 ) / 5 = q1
( q1 - 1 ) / 2 = q2
( q2 - 2 ) / 3 = q3
let, q3 = 1 ( u can choose any +ve integer no )
By, back calculation, q2 = 8 , q1 = 17 , a = 85
So, the number is 85 ( for q3=1 )
If we divide 85 by 2,3, and 5 respectively then the remainder will be 1,0, and 4
Answer ---> 1,0,4 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- 2,1,0 should be the ans

- i think the answer is 1,1,0 cz..
@ritika M when we divide 25 by 5 we get remainder 0 ,and we will left with quotient 5 ,which wen divide by 2 leavers remainder 1 and quotient 2 and when we divide 2 by 3 we will get remainder as 2...
ans since in the question we have to divide the num by 2,3 and 5 respectively ...when we divide 25 by 2 we will get 1 as remainder similarly if we divide 25 with 3 we will gwt 1 as the remainder and when we divide 25 by 5 we will get 0 as remainder ... - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
