3 dice are rolled and a, b, c is obtained then what is the probability that a.b+c is even
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- a.b+c is even only when all are odd or all are even or c is even and either a or b is odd.
when all are odd then total no of sample space=3*3*3=27
when all are even then total no of sample space=3*3*3=27
for third case 2*(3*3*3)=54
hence prob(a.b+c is even)=(27+27+54)/(6^3)=108/216=1/2 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(22) No(4)
- answer is 1/2
probability=(3/6*9/36)+(3/6*27/36)=1/2
explaination:for value of c i.e 1,3,5 there are total 9 combinations for (a*b)which makes value even similarly,for 2,4,6 there are 27 combinations - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- PROB=(1/2*1/2*1/2)+(1/2*1/2*1/2)+(1/2*1/2*1/2)+(1/2*1/2*1/2)=4/8=1/2.

- Total no of outcome when three dices rolled is 216,
the no event that is a.b+c=odd is 18
so the probability is 18/216/1/12 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- nice question !!!
