ABU does a work in 15 days BASU and CORNEL does the same work in 12 and 20 days respectively. CORNEL left the work after two days and BASU left before competition of 3 days. Find the total no of days in which work completed?

  given that A,B,C COMPLETES WORK IN 15,12,20 DAYS
  take the l.c.m of those three i.e 60(total work)
  that means A does 4(15*4=60) uints of work a day
  similarly B and C do 5 and 3 units a day
  C left after 2 days i.e all the 3 worked for 3 days
  WORK DONE=(4+5+3)*2=24
  WORK LEFT =60-24=36
  given that B left 3 before complition of work
  INDIRECTLY IT IS GIVEN THAT A COMPLETS THE REMAINING WORK IN 3 DAYS
  I.E HE WORKS FOR LAST 3 DAYS
  WORK DONE BY A IN LAST 3 DAYS=3(4)=12
  WORK LEFT=36-12=24(WORK TO BE COMPLETED BY A AND B)
  THAT MEANS A AND B DO 24 UNITS AFTER C LEFT AND BEFORE B LEAVING
  LET TIME TAKEN BY THEM BE X
  (4+5)*X=24
  X=24/9=8/3
  TOTAL NUM OF DAYS= 2+(8/3)+3=5+(8/3)=24/3=7.66 DAYS

  1 day work of abu,basu,cornel is 1/15,1/12,1/20 respectively
  given cornel leaves after 2day so,work done by cornel in 2days=2/20
  basu leaves before 3days of completion of work
  so,he work for(x-3)days
  work done by basu in x-3days=(x-3)/12
  abu work for x days
  so,work done for x days=x/15
  all together complete the work
  so,x/15+(x-3)/12+2/20=1
  by solving x=23/3=7.66
