- i think answer is none....as shyam is on 2nd position..so two guls which are adjacent cannot take first position...hence they can take either 3,4 or 4,5 position and further they can be arranged in 2 ways.. now left 2 students can be arranged in two places in 2! ways...so ans should be 2*2*2 ways

- option e.shyam had placed in second position.remaining 4 people, out of which geeta and anitha are always adjacent,so they can be considered as group. therefore, 3 people(anitha and geetha as 1 +rest of 2 members) can arranged in 3! ways.anitha first and geetha second or geetha first and anitha second i.e., we can arrange them in two ways.
total possible arrangements = 2*3! - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(5)
- we fix shyam in the 2nd position. We are left with positions 1,3,4,5. geeta and anita cant be at 1st position as they have be in adjacent positions.nw we r left with 3,4,5. _,S,A,G,_ if anita at posion 3. _,S,G,A,_ or _,S,_,A,G ig anita at posion 4. and _,S,_,G,A if anita at posion 5. so total 4 ways to place anita and geeta. nw for remaining 2 ppl can come in any 2 places left in 2! ways.. so ans is 1*4*(2!) so a..ie none

- since shyam is at 2nd position , so there are two possible cases
(1) __ S __ __ __ or (2) __ __ ___ S __
since geeta is always adjacent to anita, so the are placed after Shyam (in case 1) or before shyam (in case 2)
now , no. of ways when 2 girls are always adjacent = 3c2* 2!
And remaining two places can be filled by two boys in 2! ways.
so total no. of ways= 3c2*2!*2! - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
