- 12 men do the work in 8 days = 96 unit of work
8 '' '' ' ' ' ' (12*8)/8= 12days
similarly, 16 women do the work in 12 days = 192 unit of work
8 ' ' ' '' ' '' '' ' '' (12*16)/8=18 days
96 unit of work by men = 192 unit of work by women
so, efficiency of women work is half of men work.
8 men in six day work 48 unit of work and 8 women in six days work work 24 unit of work and the left 24 unit of work done in 1 day by 24 men as efficiency of 1men in 1 day is 1 unit work.
Hence Ans-24 men - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)

- 12 mens one day work=1/8...so,1 mens one day work=1/(8*12)...hence, 8 such mens one day work=1/(8*12)*8=1/12....(a)
going by the same procedure for women....8 womens one day work=1/(12*16)*8=1/24....(b)
adding (a) and (b) we get ...8 women and 8 mens one day work=1/8....
hence their 6 day work=6*(1/8)=3/4
so remaining work left=1-(3/4)=1/4
since 1 work is done in one day by (8*12) men, hence 1/4 work wil be done in (8*12*1/4)=24 men - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
