When a number N is divided by D, the remainder is 23 and when N is divided by 12D the remainder is 104. What is the remainder when N is divided by 6D?(star question)

  as question says:
  N=12D*k1+104
  so we rewrite it as
  N=6D*k2+104 (k2=2*k1)
  hence remainder is 104

• This question can easily be solve by options. If you look at the question then it is given that when it is divided by 12D ans is 104. If you look then whenever a number is divided by 12 and 6 then there can be only three cases.
  1> number is fully divided by both.
  2> it's gives same remiander for 12 and 6.
  3> Difference of remainders by 6 and 12 would always be 6.
  
  Ex. 60%12 = 0 , 60%6 = 0; fully divided, ist case
  61%12 = 1 , 61%6 = 1; same remainder, 2nd case;
  66%12 = 6, 66%6 = 0; Difference of remainder is 6, third case;
  67%12 = 7, 67%6 = 1; Difference of remainder is 6; third case;
  
  Hence there is no option of 104-6=98; Hence surely it is of 2nd case. Remainder would be same.!!
