A reduction of 20% in the price of sugar enables me to purchase 5 kg more for Rs. 600. Find the price of sugar per kg before reduction of price?

  5 kg sugar for 600
  so price of 1 kg is 120
  20% of 120 is 24
  previous price was 120+24=144

• 20 % reduction in price enables a man to buy 25 % more sugar.
  25% sugar =5 kg
  so, 100% sugar=20kg.
  so, price before reduction=(600/20)=Rs. 30.
  price after reduction=80% of 30= Rs.24.

• Let the price of sugar before reduction is x rs
  
  Price after reduction = 0.8x
  
  According to the question
  
  (600/0.8x)-(600/x)=5
  
  x=30
