In a race between A,B,C and D. A said I am not 1st or 4th, B said I am not 4th, C said I am not 1st, D said I am 4th. If only three of them said truth then who is 4th in that race?

lets consider A is saying the truth so he can be at 2nd or 3rd place. let A be 3rd
if B says the truth he can be on 1st or 2nd place.. let B be 2nd..
now if C also says the truth den he cant be on 1st place therefore C is fourth
and thus D lied.

solve by making a table and putting ABCD in rows nd positions in columns.

B=1or 2 or ,3 C=2,or 3,or 4 D=2, or 3
Therefore we observe that 4 is possible only in c.
