Generally for a n x n board the normal formulae is a sigma of n^2. i.e (1^2 +2^2+3^2....n^2). so for a normal chess board, we have 1^2 +2^2+3^2+4^2 +5^2+6^2+7^2 +8^2.
=1+4+9+16+25+36+49+64= 204
