Fresh grapes certain 90% water by weight while dried grapes certain 20% water by weight. What is the weight of any grapes available from 20kg of fresh grapes?

• 20 kg of fresh grapes contains 18kg(90% water) of water and 2 kg(20% water) of flesh
  a dry grapes contains:
  As only water looses the weight so flesh's weight remains the same
  so
  "Dried" grapes contain 20% water. So 80% of the weight of "dried" grapes is not water.
  flesh =2 kg (80% of the dried grapes)
  water =.5 kg (20% of dried grapes)

• See in 20kg of fresh grapes we have 2kg grapes and 18kg of water.
  Now when the grapes are dried water is reduced not the grape i.e. 2kg remaines 2kg grapes.
  So in new quantity we know the weight of grapes i.e 2kg which is its 80% since 20% in dried grapes is water.
  let weight of dried grapes be x
  so, 80% of x=2kg that is x=2.5kg.

  thrfor 10% is the grape, thrfor 10% of 20 kg fresh grapes= 2kg.(ans)
  
  one special thing to know for all of u, in this qstn no one can calculate the weight of any grape. thts the truth

  In dried grape, grape concentration is 80%; that implies 2kg should be taken as 80%. So, total weight of dried grape is 2.5kg.

  and it will contain pulp =20-18=2kg
  if fresh fruit is dried water evaporates and pulp remains as it is
  let the dry grapes obtained be x
  so we can write
  (100-20)%of x=2 (because dry fruit contain 20% of water )
  on solving we get x=2.5kg /////// this is the answer
