Length of biggest cube that can be placed in right angled triangle?
Read Solution (Total 6)

- i found a formula on my own....
i also checked this for (3,4,5)and (6,8,10) right angle triangles..it is verified.
the formula is=(b*h)/(b+h)
where b=base of right angle triangle
and,hheight of the triangle
i checked by assuming the side lenght of cube "x"
total area of the right angle triangle=(area of side of cubeof side lengths x,x+area of triangle formed by sides (h-x),x+area of triangle formed by (b-x),x. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 34.28 is the answer..........place the cube inside triangle and 2 similar triangles can be formed.using properties of simalr triangle ..it can be found for 60,80,100 right angled triangle

- the biggest cube could be the one in which we take the diagonal of the one face of cube be the line drawn from hypotneuse to the meeting point of vertices of other two sides such that this line makes an angle of 90 degrees with the center of the hypotneuse

- Since cube should be placed the triangle must be isoscles so larget possible lenght will be half of the equal sides...
