- when we multiply 89.635 by 8, we get 0 at unit's digit. Now multiplying 89.635 by 10 will give 5 at tens' digit. Now we know , after multiplication of decimal numbers, the number digits to the right of decimal is equal to the sum of digits to the right of both muliplicand and multiplier. so the answer becomes 7.
