Logical Reasoning
Number Series
I use some logic here but cant assure this. so guyz plz solve these.
1> 1, 3, 3, 2, 8, 10, 3, 4, 12, 4, 8, ? (Is it 21?)
2> 9, 12, 4, 8, 12, 15, 5, 9, 3, 6, 2, 6, 6, 9, ?
3> 15 3/4, 16, 26, 9 1/5, 9, 19, 64 2/3, 65, 75, 30 3/8, ?
4> 3/2, 2 1/4, 9/4, 7/2, 12 1/4, 49/4, 4/3, 1 1/7, 16/9, ?
5> 2,6,5,14,11,26,17,?
6> 7776,625,64,9,?

- 1) 1,3,3,2,8,10,3,4,12,4,8
(1,3,3,2,8,10),(3,4,12,4,8,_)
1*3=3, 2+8=10
similarly
3*4=12, 4+8=12
i.e the next pair is 3,4,12,4,8,12
Probable answer is 12.

- 5) prime no series in which alternate terms multiplied by 2
2,(3*2),5,(7*2),11,(13*2),17,(19*2)
answer is 38 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- 3) 15 3/4, 16, 26, 9 1/5, 9,19, 64 2/3, 65,75,30 3/8
(15 3/4,16,26),(9 1/5,9,19),(64 2/3,65,75),(30 3/8,_,_)
we have to do simple approximations.
15 3/4 --> 16, 16+10=26
9 1/5 --> 9, 9+10=19
64 2/3 --> 65, 65+10=75
similarly,
30 3/8 --> 30, 30+10=40
so, the next pair is (30 3/8,30,40)
Answer. 30

- 4) The correct series is: 3/2,2 1/4,9/4,7/2,12 1/4,49/4,4/3,1 1/3,16/9
(3/2,9/4,9/4),(7/2,49/4,49/4),(4/3,4/3,16/9)
In each pair, 3rd term is square of the 1st term.
we take the 1st term of each pair and form a series as follows:
3/2,7/2,4/3,x...
7/2-3/2=2
similarly, x-4/3=2
x = 10/3
i.e first term of next pair begins with 10/3.

- 3>ans is 3,7..........(9,12,4,8),(12,15,5,9),(3,6,2,6),(6,9,3,7)........
difference between 1st 2 terms is 3.
difference between last 2 terms is 4.
2nd term is 3 tyms multiple of 3rd term...... - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 2) 9, 12, 4, 8, 12, 15, 5, 9, 3, 6, 2, 6, 6, 9, ?
9 4 12 5 3 2 6
+3 +4 +3 +4 +3 +4 +3
12 8 15 9 6 6 9
(12-3=9),(8-4=4) similarily 9-3=6 so the ans is 6

- 5) 2,6,5,14,11,26,17
Consider the consecutive differences.
2,6,5,14,11,26,17,_...(i)
4,9,15,_..............(ii)
5,6,_.................(iii)
next term of (iii) is 7.
so, next term of (ii) is 15+7=22.
so, next term of (i) is 17+22=39.
