Q. What is the next number of the following sequence

5, 6, 6.5, 6.5, 8, 7, 9, 5, ..... ?

• there are two series mixed.
  (5, 6.5, 8, 9.5) and
  (6, 6.5, 7, ?)
  first series is AP. difference is 1.5
  second series is also AP. difference is .5
  So, answer is 7.5
