rama can finish a work in 20 days and rani can finish the same work in 15 days both worked

let otal wrk is 60 units.
ram complet in 20 days ..means in 1 day=60/20=3uni/day
rani complt in 15 days .means in 1 day =60/15=4 unit/day.
rani do it for 1 day==1*3=3 units..left wrk=60-4=56
now left wrk done by both=56/3+4=8 days...

14/15 work is done in= 60/7*14/15= 8

a=20,b=15 .
l.c.m of 20,15 is 60 . so 20*3=60 a can do 3 units per day .
15*4=60 . b can do 4 units per day . total 7 units per day .

b works one day so 60-4=56 . 56/7=8 . so they worked together for 8 days .

(Rama + Rani)collective 1 day work =11.6667 %
% of work remaining = 100 - 6.66667 (6.6667 = rani's 1 day work)
=93.333%
So,Collective rate * (no. of days)= 93.333
(no. of days)= 93.333/11.6667
(no. of days)= 8
